I offer
short or long term psychotherapy for individuals and couples, for
a wide range of difficulties, including all aspects of relationship
struggles, grief and loss issues, depression, sexuality, anxiety
and trauma.
Short
term psychotherapy offers symptomatic relief and understanding of
particular issues or anxieties. It is useful when a crisis or anxiety
or a difficult transition disturbs an otherwise relatively untroubled
life. Sometimes it becomes clear that deeper issues are surfacing
alongside the current problem, and then longer term work may be
indicated.
Long term psychotherapy offers an unpressured context in which significant
and profound systemic change can occur. If you have recurrent negative
patterns which get in the way of living a full life, a history of
trauma or major losses, or a lack of a sense of connection to yourself,
the world, or both, long term psychotherapy will almost certainly
be of use to you.
Depression and anxiety are reliable signals that something needs
to be understood at a deeper level before needed change can happen,
with life crises offering the possibility of transformative change.

I
offer you a comfortable, safe, real space in which we can
discover new perspectives on yourself and new choices in your
life struggles. I also enjoy offering clinical supervision
for psychotherapists, counsellors and other health professionals.
